You are a cowboy poet. Pen an ode to your hat.
Puttin’ on my Stetson
There’s no misconception
I run these here lands
With my bare hands
Taking life to make leather
There’s nothin’ I can’t weather
As long as I’ve got a wide brim ova’head
I won’t part with it ’til I’m dead
All I know is this life
Even though it’s full o’ strife
Puttin’ on my Stetson
There’s no misconception
I embody the ideals o’ the West
Thriving in the look o’ distress
As I take more cows to the slaughter
Every decision requires more fodder
As long as I’ve got a wide brim ova’head
I won’t part with it ’til I’m dead
All I know is this mammon
Even though there’s tons o’ famine
Puttin’ on my Stetson
There’s no misconception
All I know is this gore
Even though it’s full o’ war
Puttin’ on my Stetson
There’s no misconception
All I know is its breadth
Even though it’s full o’ death
