Ok. So I procured The Walking Dead Compendium One. What does this mean? (Said like Double Rainbow guy.) It is the compilation of issues #1-48. It’s a monster of a book, nearly 2 inches thick. I have decided to read it before the premier of The Walking Dead television series on October 31. I already started the TP so I’ll just pick up from there.
I unpacked all my books yesterday…well that is to say I unpacked all my graphic novels and put them on my bookshelf. All my school books went into storage. The sacrifice is totally worth it since I have a LOT to read. My goal is to read everything that Image bestowed so gracefully upon me even though I’m so behind as it is. I can’t keep up with the speed of the comic book world with all this moving from state to state back to state! Ok enough boohoo.
My apartment is put together, we are consigning some of our furniture (possibly) and now to the job applying and reading! I forgot to mention that I’m volunteering for Fantagraphics books. I am editing some articles that will be placed in The Comics Journal and reading a prose novel, This Side of Jordan, by Monte Schulz, author and son of the late Charles M. Schulz.
It’s time to, as my friend says, “go go go!”
