Hold on to your butts kids because this is going to be a long one. Or a short one for now, so I’m not late for the Wednesday posting…
I have been excited for this Wednesday in particular because two comics, The Intrepids Issue #2 and Green Wake Issue #1 were coming out today, both written by Kurtis Wiebe. I had to work today so I have only had time to read The Intrepids and let me tell you, it was it jim-dandy, battle baboons and all. We’re getting further insight into the groups origin and a new character is introduced! Jonah. Who is this Jonah? And the back of the comic leaves you hanging with, “What is Jonah?” WHAT!?! What is he? I don’t know, I know I don’t want to wait a month. GUH. Actually I do know, because I edited the next issue…MUAHAHA.
I am in the middle of Invincible: Head of the Class Vol. #4. It’s quite entertaining so far…more on that later.
I’ll be reading Green Wake during the day time tomorrow. It’s a horror comic and I can’t read that before bed so my reactions to it will also have to be postponed.
In other news, I received a most unexpected and amazing gift last night. Catching Fire! It is the second novel in the Hunger Games trilogy and man am I stoked. I was introduced to someone who has enjoyed the trilogy and his advice was, “Don’t start it unless you intend to finish it that day.” So I’m taking that advice and starting it tomorrow. I have a lot to do (tomorrow) so I bid you adieu and goodnight.

“We’re going to have to get Star Trek on blu-ray.”
Me:
“I hate how we have to upgrade everything.”
Ross:
“You don’t have to upgrade a book.”
