A couple weeks ago, I saw the cover for Super Dinosaur. Take a look see:
Now, it wasn’t until I took in the image completely that I saw the tiny T-Rex arms controlling the larger mechanical ones with the animated version of the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Joystick. I laughed so hard out loud that I decided I had to buy this comic the day it comes out, which was today. So far I am enjoying the art and the storyline, but I’m skeptical about the kid. He is totally awesome, telling the reader this on numerous occasions, yet he may redeem himself in the end. So for all you Jurassic Park fans out there, wishing that dinosaurs would make their come back via sap preserved mosquitos, here’s your dino DNA:
As for another potential great read, bought solely for the cover, I picked up Blue Estate #1 The Rachel Situation. It’s almost like I’m treating comics like wine, choosing based on the label. Whoever Rachel is, I hope she kicks ass, she sure looks tough. More on this comic next week!
Onward and upward, I have finally finished Invincible: Head of the Class Vol. #4. I don’t know why I trudged through it. I think dealing with Invincible’s new role, his father’s essentially, was like watching basketball for me. The small court from the nose bleed section, looking left right left right left right and getting sea sick was kind of the experience with Vol. #4. But there were some moments, specifically space related, that made me laugh and the end warmed my heart thanks to Atom Eve. Invincible and Atom Eve have fought crime together and are good friends. She decides she is wasting her abilities and could be helping people who need it, not necessarily those who are affected by super villains, but those in other countries that need housing and food. I found this to be incredibly genuine and I look forward to seeing what happens with her character.
