From This Universe to Yours

Here’s an update of the name change variety! I posted yesterday about changing my blog name to reflect more of me and what this blog is about, and less like a similarly named festival.

I went with my last name and kept universe. As for the former, my name is a part of my identity. And along with that, I’m pouring myself into my writing more so than ever and why not present myself as myself? It seems so obvious now especially after fully realizing recently that names can be the gateway to immortality…not that I want to live forever, but in thinking about my mortality, I want to attach my name to the things I create and leave something behind that’s impactful and exudes positivity. My husband and I may not have children so I suppose my writing will be my version of offspring.

Keeping universe showcases my love of the cosmos while reflecting that this space is for my writing which includes, and will continue to include, a range of topics from comics and travels to more abstract things to which I refer to as musings.

You’ll also notice a theme change. I went with a more text-focused one to test the waters and see if I like it. Here’s hoping you like it too! Later gators.
