I had an hour and a half flight from Oakland to Seattle and granted, it was a short flight but it flew by because I was reading an engrossing comic! I picked up Beast by Marion Churchland published by Image. I should also say that my internship ended there and I moved back to Seattle.
I got through most of it on the plane but just finished it recently. I can see now why Churchland won the Russ Manning Promising Newcomer Award at the 2010 San Diego Comic Convention. Her art is stunningly textured and her writing matches to boot. I am looking forward to reading more from her.
